How do you know if you are working with a good breeder?

It is well worth your time and effort to research breeders before committing to a particular puppy. Your Tibbie will likely be with you for the next 12-15 years and it is in your best interest to ensure he had the best possible start in life.

Good breeders have an established affix or kennel name as a means of identity. Our affix, Milestone is on every dog we have bred and all of our puppies are registered with the A.K.C. whether they are pet or show quality. You will see a number of A.K.C. champions in our pedigrees which leads to a higher degree of predictability in conformation and temperament.

Since our puppies typically do not leave home until they are about 12 weeks old, we are able, through weeks of observation with a trained eye, to determine which puppy is the perfect match for each family. Puppies have a guarantee, a spay/neuter contract and are welcomed back if need be throughout their life.

We will guide you by way of telephone communications and written material so that you are well prepared when your new puppy arrives. We will invite you to visit our home and meet our Tibbie family. Most people find this to be the best part because not only do they meet their new puppy and siblings but also, the dam and sometimes the sire. This will give you a better idea what to expect when your puppy matures.

You will NEVER find our puppies at a pet shop. Our websites are not designed to sell puppies, featuring photo after photo of puppies for sale, as is the case with back yard breeders, brokers and puppy mills.

Our puppies are raised in our home as part of the family. They are potty trained by 8 weeks which makes housebreaking easier for you. Puppies are current on all vaccines and worming. Copies of health clearances, registrations and pedigrees on both parents are provided along with A.K.C. transfer papers for the puppy. We just want you to enjoy and focus on getting your new puppy settled into its new life, we will take care of the rest.
